Fall 2019
Created as a community art project for the Fall Festival in 2019, this project had multiple steps and many hands working on it. First, Sojourn Arts intern Sammi Lawson created a continuous line drawing of three neighborhood houses across the four wood panels. The larger panels were then cut into smaller squares for individuals to paint at the Fall Festival, creating a vibrant, kaleidoscopic painting of the neighborhood once the pieces were returned to their proper order. To finish, Sojourn Arts interns and staff painted the black outlines again to bring cohesion to the design.
Special thanks to Sojourn Arts interns Sammi Lawson and Abigail Day for their help on the project.
