“River Song” (left) & “Morning Hymn” (right) by Marianne Lettieri
In this workshop, visiting artist Marianne Lettieri will share her process of creating collages that explore God’s presence in the midst of lament — the theme of her exhibit, Wilderness Waiting. Bring your own images if you want to illustrate a favorite hymn, or use the materials provided in the class to make a collage that visually expresses the idea of hope. Collage supplies (paper, magazines, glue, scissors) will be provided, along with a variety of drawing and paint supplies. There will be a few X-acto knives and cutting mats available, but if you have your own it may be helpful to bring it. Feel free to bring your own images and supplies as well.
We will meet on Saturday, April 18th from 10am-11:30am in the gallery at Sojourn Midtown (1207 S. Shelby St.). The cost is $4, which includes cost of supplies and compensation. When you register, you will submit payment for the class. Register here.
