Emily will be in the small gallery between the morning services to connect with people, and after the 11am service she will share more formally about her process. Light refreshments provided. I create hand-carved linocuts that tell stories of resilience, offering spaces for contemplation where hope can emerge.

My work explores the tension between beauty and brokenness, grief and renewal, using birds, botanicals, and symbols from the natural world to invite reflection. I hope each piece encourages viewers to slow down, discover meaning over time, and recognize that hope can coexist with hardship.

Working in the traditional medium of linocut printmaking, every line is carved by hand, and every layer is printed individually. The permanence of the process reflects the themes I explore, embracing texture, imperfection, and the evidence of the human hand.

With over 15 years of experience in graphic design, I bring an intentional approach to composition and visual storytelling, while printmaking allows room for ambiguity, mystery, and emotional complexity. In a culture driven by speed and certainty, I see art as an invitation to pause, reflect, and return with fresh eyes.
